Week 4- I like to Move it, Move it-Bring a Friend Week!

Week 4-I like to Move it, Move it and Bring a Friend week!

Welcome, to week 4! This week is all about the five senses, body parts, and keeping our little ones active! There are physical, psychological, and social benefits to consistent physical activity. Plus, is should be fun for everyone! Creative Movement is a great way to foster a love for physical activity and creativity for your little one!

Housekeeping: This week is Bring a Friend week! I'm looking forward to meeting the friend your little one chooses to bring to class! I will have a waiver for parents to sign before they start the class (Superstars-if you will be bringing a friend without a parent, I will email you the waiver to be signed ahead of time). Our Refer a Friend program is a great way to get you child's friends in class and earn some credit toward winter semester's tuition! For each friend you refer, you will earn a $10 credit toward winter semester. If you refer 4 friends who sign up, you could earn a $40 credit toward winter semester! When we come back from fall break, I will have winter semester schedule ready, Suzie Hatch (our service coordinator) will have a service project for us to participate in, and the website will be closer to being updated! I would love to add a little blurb from any of you on the website! Just jot it down and stick it in your folder and I'll post it on the site. I would love to hear your feedback about class times that work for you! If the time you are in is the only time that works for you let me know! We are looking to add some classes on Tuesday afternoons for winter semester (plus a 7-9 year old class). Also, the second payment of tuition is due on the 25th! You may leave the check in your folder this week or mail it to: 277 E. 7800 S. Midvale, UT 84047! Here is a website with the lyrics to the songs we've been singing in class! In addition, this website has music sheets, activity sheets, and songs to listen to! Have fun with it! www.kididdles.com

RockStars! This week we will be exploring our five senses and body parts! We will creatively move to the song I like to Move it, Move it using scarves, explore clapping and stomping to Clap Your Hands, enjoy doing the actions to Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes, have a blast doing Chocolate Pudding Art, and participate in story time to Head To Toe by: Eric Carle! Get ready to move, move, move!!!

SuperStars! Come ready to move, move, move your body!!! We will do creative movement using scarves to I like to Move it, Move it, explore rhythm to Clap Your Hands, enjoy doing the actions to Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes, have fun doing the Hokey Pokey, partner up for a mirroring activity, have a wonderful time doing chocolate pudding art (I will have a toothpick for each of you to etch a body into your pudding-this is an early experience in etching-of course, etching is usually done with metal, acids, heavier tools, etc-but, for these little ones pudding and toothpicks get the etching experiences started!), and participate in story time with Head To Toe by: Eric Carle!

See you, Friday! Remember, to bring a friend!!!

  1. Robbie and I have started reading books, this week, about our five senses and body parts. Robbie likes to 'Move It', 'Move It'. The curriculum you've developed is fun, educational and challenging. We're loving it!!!!
