Dog for a Day! Ruff!!!

Welcome, to Dog for a Day week! Dogs are a reoccurring theme in movies, commercials, books, songs, and many of our households! This is a great theme to explore through the arts.

Housekeeping:

Priority Enrollment starts November 6th and ends November 13th. You may register after November 13th, although, availability is not guaranteed. You may fill-out the “Returning Students” portion of the registration form and put it in your folder along with the 1st tuition payment.

Open Enrollment begins on November 14th for all new registrants. Any of your referrals will earn you $10 (per family) and you will receive a check back from The Stars after I have received their registration items.

We are still collecting items for The Christmas Box House. You may bring in items to support this service project for a few more weeks. The children housed at The Christmas Box House are in need of: toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoos, conditioners, lotions, and clothes. Thank you, for your support!

Your Halloween pictures will be edited and ready for viewing, shortly. I will email you the link and password once they are ready! The Stars were absolutely adorable in their Halloween costumes! I continue to be impressed with your dedication to your children by your commitment to furthering their development and growth. I see many positive interactions between you and your children weekly! Thank you!

Dog for a Day! This is a fun theme to engage children in exploring the arts! During creative movement, we will explore the element of size (large/small), run, sit, roll-over, sniff, fetch, and dig. For creative drama, we will explore the element of character by acting as a dog would to the song Oh, I Want to be a Dog! Music Circle will allow us the opportunity to explore the element of tempo (adagio & allegro) by singing some parts slow and some parts fast to the song BINGO! We will be making our own shakers during our creative art activity and use them as our own musical instruments! Some Dogs Do, is a wonderful story we will enjoy about a little dog who flies and when he tells his peers they do not believe him!

I am looking forward to seeing you on, Friday! Have a wonderful week!!!
